Drowned are now extinct in the wild? (Blue)

I've been scouring the oceans for a while now since the update dropped, but during this, i noticed that the drowned became slowly more sparse. Loaded chunks are now completely barren. Is this something to do with the mob cap?

Yeah I know this wierd issue with the bad spawn rates, and it's not only drowneds it's all the mobs. Btw this spawn rate issue is not just effecting blue, it is effecting all the servers, so don't feel alone if this happens to you. I know Kureen is hopefully going to work on a solution for this issue

Yeah I had a suspicion that it wasn't just blue. But no its not all mobs, most are fine. It's just the Drowned, and I think also wither skeletons.

I can just tell you, I know one thing, Kureen said that he is planning to work on this problem, but for now the spawn rates of drowneds are rigged sadly
