Error in contacting login servers

I've been having trouble connecting to the server all day.

When I try to connect I get a message that reads. "Failed to connect to server. Error occurred while contacting login servers, are they down?"

I don't have any problems connecting to other servers. I have restarted minecraft and refreshed countless times. When I refresh I see that the number of players on the server is always decreasing so I wonder if others are having the same problem.

Yeah, it has let me in twice before but not without a struggle and it seems random. Now it won't let me in at all.

I was on a bit ago and there was numerous small roll backs. i kept having to mine the same area over and over. Maybe they restarted the server?

mojang was having major issues and some people (depending where they live) weren't able to log on to our server. It seems to have fixed itself now but if you guys join discord at https://discord.gg/ejDuyNH then you will keep more up to date with information as we don't always respond as quickly here!
