Axolotl glitch

Hi,
I recently got an Axolotl in a wild crate.

I only started a few days ago so i was mega excited to get one.
I spent like an hour building a home for it, I spanned the egg. there was a chest nearby and i got the name tag and returned and it had despanned. i never felt my lot.
I was only a few blocks away.

is there anyway i can get one back cause i worked hard on the build haha.

sorry to be annoying but this is my last resort. paid real money for more keys and didnt get one and i cant afford more..
